Happy birthday to my most wonderful husband, Jim. I am sorry that most people do not remember your birthday (including your family), but I want you to know that I love you and you are worth so much to me.
On another note. I hate being sick! I need to puke and I can’t so I am just walking around feeling horrible. Nursing a baby doesn’t help! Poor Eden does not feel well either. And Jim! He is starting to feel bad and it’s his BIRTHDAY!!! :( Get well to us!

Honor will hereby be referred to as “the Squirm.” There are very few moments in the day that he is not moving. When I hold him he has to be kicking his feet, when I nurse him he has to be kicking his feet and trying to touch my face (which is quite sweet.) When he is in his car seat he has to be kicking his feet. When he is playing on the floor he is wiggling evey way possible.
If Honor is the Squirm, Eden should be the…. Will Never Be Potty Trained Child.

It now seems that you can get text messages from the Pope. Can they make religion anymore convienent? What happened to having a personal experience with God? Now you can just do it all from your cell phone!!!

7:30 am – I changed Eden out of her diaper from the night before into panties. She sits on the potty.
8:10 am – Eden goes potty on the big girl potty.
8:52 am – Eden goes on the potty.
9:25 am – Eden goes on the potty.
9:45 am – Eden pees in her panites.
9:55 am – Eden comes up to me grunting, POOPING in her panties. (This is the thing that really sucks about panties… they cost like $3.50 a piece so I can’t really justify throwing them away when there is a huge juicy poop in them.)
10:05 am – Mommy finishes cleaning the poop explosion.
10:45 am – Eden sits on the potty.
11:15 am – Eden pees in her panites. Again. At the rate we’re going I can’t do laundry fast enough. This is usually the point that I give up, but I keep thinking of all that money I could use to buy yarn if I don’t have to keep buying diapers for two kids.
12:00 pm – Eden sits on the potty, which is good because we are now wearing the last pair of panties lined with plastic. After this we go to the cloth ones and there will be no hope for catching up on laundry.
(Let me also say that it is noon and Eden has already gone more than I go in a whole day! Where does it all come from?)
12:42 pm – Eden goes on the potty. (Mommy breathes a sigh of relief.)
1:23 pm – Eden goes potty.
2:03 pm – Eden goes potty and I put a diaper on her for her nap.
5:10 pm – Eden wakes up and sits on the potty

I read this the other day and keep thinking about it. It is good to remember that being a mom is my job now. Too bad I don’t get paid…. But being home to raise my kids is more rewarding than any paycheck could ever be.
The worst job I’ve ever done

Seeing those lamb recipes below reminds me, I priced lamb yesterday and it is EXPENSIVE! I had better like lamb, that is for sure!

We just returned from our second camping trip of the year on Saturday. What a nice time it was, much warmer than the first one. I only wore 2 shirts instead of 4. Strangely, Jim got colder this time? I can never figure out how his body temperature is regulated…. Eden and Honor had a nice time too. Eden was very interested in the water at the lake (pond) and walked out right into it. I was not there and Jim had to deal with the wet feet all by himself. Ha ha! (Isn’t it awful that I get all happy when he has to deal with what is my everyday life?)
Our second trip was made with my Aunt Ann, Uncle David and cousins, Alyssa and David. While we were sitting around the camp fire we noticed two glowing orbs dancing in the distance. After much conjecture, it was decided that the glowing orbs were a man that someone saw earlier fishing on the bank of the lake sitting in a lawn chair with tiki lamps on either side. He was walking around holding the two tiki lamps.
A mini van pulled up to the man. After about five minutes of conversation that I would loved to have heard, the van started moving. We suddenly realized that tiki man was in the van! The tiki lamps were being held out the window. It ceremoniously reminiscent of the olympic torch runners. As the mini van circled around the campground and past our site, my 13 year old cousin couldn’t help but yell a shout of encouragement, “Tiki Man!!!” The rest of the evening was dotted with intermittent comments about David building a bon fire and inviting Tiki Man to come and dance around it with him. Oh, how I wish I could have got a picture of Tiki Man!!
