Cards to hand out to our patients at the Good Samaritan Clinic when they’re on their way out the door. Last week I was in charge of running the clinic and it went so great! It was a lot of work and a lot of pressure on me, but I’m proud to have pulled it off. Also proud to have helped 36 people get healthcare!
The kids spent nearly all of spring break in the backyard constructing a fort. I let them use power tools which may not have been the best plan.
all of our spring yarn is in at Tangle
I got to babysit Gunnison and went on a walk with him in the Ergo carrier. If I ever have another child, I will definitely get one of these.
blurry Eden with her new iPod touch (she spent all of her birthday money on it. I think it’s a little ridiculous for a 10 year old to have an iPod touch, but the alternative was a Nintendo DS and I thought this would last her longer.)
The yard sale queens at it again.
It’s hard to tell from this picture, but this is 4 folding tables and about 15 chairs packed into my Xterra. amazing.
Take two on the fort
Dexter ripped off one of his toenails, so to stop the bleeding (lots of bleeding) we had to bandage him up and put a cone on him. Here he is looking very pathetic under a quilt.
The twinzies came for a visit. I can’t believe how big they are getting!

About once a week we have “Salad with Everything” for dinner. Everyone in the house love it, especially if it’s topped with bacon!
My friend Ivy owns a great clothing store here in town called Pollux. This outfit was on their mannequin outside the store and I couldn’t help but try it on. I didn’t buy it because I have no clue where I would wear it, but it was so fun to try on.
I’ve been taking a lot of walks lately and my outfits keep getting more and more silly. My friend Rickelle told me that I looked like a mom with my nike’s and skinny jeans… sad but true.
Same outfit as I was wearing in these pictures but 20lbs less.
Dexter has been especially frustrating lately. He refuses to pee outside unless we make him use his dog door, so I spend my days cleaning up lots of puddles… so frustrating for a 2 year old dog.
My tiger lilies poking their finger up through the ground.
Graffiti on Tangle. Not sure why anyone would want to tag a yarn store? But at least it was on the window and pretty easy to remove.

The Good Samaritan Clinic banner from our last mobile clinic.
We’ve been hosting free clinics every month and helping with some pretty serious medical issues. I feel that health care is a basic human right, not a privilege so it makes me happy that we can help people who wouldn’t be able to afford it otherwise.
Sometimes a kid just has to write some sentences.
The Beautiful Belle Handbag.
I ripped the whole thing apart because I thought the gathers looked stupid. I’m going to redo it with pleats. The fabric is Echino which I just LOVE. Can’t wait to re-sew it.
The funny thing is that neither of my parents raised me on football but both are pretty into it now. Upon finding out that I’ve been watching football, my mom immediately sent me this book. I laughed so hard when I opened up the package.
Gunnison at 6 months, wearing the sweater that I made him.
Testing out a new sock yarn for Tangle. Carrie in the background being sarcastic I’m sure.

My finished quilt top. Although I think it’s too skinny and need to figure out a way to make it wider.
A couple weeks ago we had a band from Ft. Collins, You, Me & Apollo, come into town, play an awesome show and then camp out in our living room. The next day we all peeled ourselves out of bed (after a very, very late night) and went out to breakfast. Seth and Carrie were in their matching outfits again, so I had to capture the moment.
Me in my finished sweater.
not sure what I was thinking when I purchased this iphone cover…
There’s nothing quite like starting a new molskine.
I suddenly, and surprisingly, decided that I wanted to understand and watch football. Carrie, being the good sport that she is, went right along with it. So Saturday, before the big Bronco game, we brushed up on our football knowledge with a marathon of YouTube football videos. Luckily we had a couple football experts stop by to really set us straight. Turns out, when you know what’s going on in the game, it’s actually interesting!
And because when I decide to do something, I DO it, we made sure we were model fans.
Today I helped a friend bottle his beer, which I love to do! We have big plans to keep everyone stocked in beer now. If only I was eating (and drinking) wheat…

The wall at the Steve Madden store at Cherry Creek Mall in Denver.
My sister, her husband, the twinzies and the kiddos on our way into Ikea.
The twinzies in the PJ pants I made them for Christmas. It’s nearly impossible to take a non-blurry pic of the two of them together – they never stop moving!
The cousins watching movies and eating copious amounts of popcorn.
Battleship, ipad style
When Seth is your roommate, this happens in your living room. They were filming a commercial for a custom bible cover website.
baby Gunnison being adorable as ever (Did you know that I’m his favorite?)

Carrie was my date to our employee party at Tangle. I guess we partied too hard and she had to take a little nap.
Blurry as this was taken from the car. If you live in town, drive north all the way up 26 road until you reach this schmancy neighborhood. I’m not sure how I feel about the blue, but it was pretty spectacular.
Christmas present from my mom. Yes the salt and pepper really does come out where you think it might…

Carrie and I at an Ugly Sweater party. We have the sweater on display at Tangle and there has been some debate over wether it really is ugly, but I promise you, it’s ugly.

The reason this is my favorite time of year. The weather these last few weeks has been glorious.
Baby Gunnison is getting so cute and big!
Our customers at Tangle have been knitting helmet liners for the troops and we have sent off over 500 so far. We are so happy to be part of this project.
We will be carving pumpkins at Carrie’s big pumpkin carving party later this week, but the kids had to have a little sneak peak at the fun.
Remember this quilt? The one I made when I thought the baby was going to be a girl? Turns out he was a boy (see above) and so the quilt became a nice throw for Rickelle’s living room. (This would be the second girl quilt I’ve made for a boy. – Lesson: don’t sew quilts for babies until they are born.) I finally got the binding on it.

Honor with the lego alien ship he got for his birthday. The way this kid builds legos, I swear he is going to be an engineer.
Honor being mini Seth.
I had saved this photo on my phone from some website. It cracks me up every time I see it.
We had a cold snap so weenie boy had to try on his jacket. It’s a little snug.
Honor had this front tooth that has been hanging on for MONTHS. So long that it turned yellow and the adult tooth grew in behind it. Everyone tried to get him to pull it and bribed him with all kids of gifts, but the stubborn boy would not let anyone touch it. Eden took to calling it “Banana tooth” and had a little song that she would sing. As you can imagine, the boy hated it. It looked so bad that I told him not to smile during his school pictures. Thankfully it is now out of his mouth.
Carrie is back from her travels awhile and so the bi-weekly trips to the library have commenced. I often find all three of them cuddled up in Carrie’s bed in the basement reading. I’m so thankful my kids are readers.

The shelves in my dining room:
Honor took a bath with the cat and managed to escape with no scratches – that child I tell you… PS, anyone want a cat?
I’m working on a throw for the living room. The yarn (Berroco Plush), which I love, has been discontinued, so I decided to get it while I could and make a super soft throw. Dexter thinks it’s for him and every time I’m knitting it, he has to be laying under it.
Honor has this tooth that he refuses to pull and it’s so disgusting. Eden nicknamed it his banana tooth because it’s so yellow.
The kiddos started 2nd and 4th grades on Wednesday. They both picked out their first-day-of-school outfits.
Weenie dog has to be right in the middle of everything:
My cousin always cuts Honor’s hair. He is nicknamed the screamy boy at her shop because he is so ridiculous about getting his hair cut.

I’m starting to filter though the wedding pics I took in Wyoming. I’m not happy with the colors yet, but here are a few:
this one is my favorite
