Fuzzy Peach tagged me to write 20 random things about myself. So here you go:
*I’m 5’9″
*I’m scared to death of going on a cruise.
*Jim wants to go on one really bad.
*I try to avoid caffeine, but I LOVE a Dr. Pepper once in awhile.
*I avoid caffeine because I think it contributes to my migraines.
*I mostly get migraines when I eat cheese, I’m allergic. It’s sad.
*I spent all summer being annoyed at our neighbors for allowing trees to grow right next to their house (their foundation!), but now I’m enjoying them because they are beautiful gold colors and it blocks them from looking into our windows.
*I hate living next to renters. (Not that all renters are bad, just the ones that have lived next to us.)
*There is a good amount of cotton candy left over from the fiesta and I am guilty of eating WAY too much of it.
*I haven’t balanced my checkbook all year.
*I’m very thankful for online banking.
*I’ve always wanted a VW bug, old skool.
*I can probably never have one – not enough room for the kids.
*I must admit that a mini van is really convenient.
*But I really don’t want one.
*My favorite food to eat is…. I can’t choose. It’s all too good.
*But I know that I hate sloppy joes, mayo and meatloaf.
*Meatloaf kind of scares me. Ewww.
*If the kids wouldn’t catch me, I’d eat some cotton candy right now. It calls to me.
*I have always wanted and will never have Long Eyelashes. At least Honor has them right?

Is it sad that I cleaned the windows of the house for the first time… in FOUR years? Now every time I walk by I’m shocked by how clean they are, it’s like the difference between wearing glasses and not.
And now I have a bathroom to clean…

I guess when you declare to the cosmos, “BRING IT!” it takes you serious. Honor felt really terrible all weekend with a cold and Saturday night Eden puked all over my feet and continued to puke all night. At least the kids are feeling better now. Today Jim and I feel pretty sick to our stomachs, although it’s hard for me to tell exactly what’s wrong because I have cramps and a bladder infection. But! I will be starting my antibiotics as soon as I’m sure I can keep them down. Thank God for family members who can call in prescriptions.
But I’m sick of talking about everything wrong around here. Let’s look at my extremely cool new bracelet that I got last weekend.
It’s wooden and made in India and was only $9.00. There is a really cool little shop on Main Street called Pollux and my friend Brooke and I went in there, surprisingly, for the first time ever last saturday. Brooke got some great sunglasses and a really modern pink shell overlaid with cream lace with beaded straps.
I’ve got some work to do on a few websites, and I think I’m going to spend the rest of the day knitting my seventh One Skein Wonder. This one is a model for my class. I have to say, I hate purling the right way.
Here’s to a better week. For all of us.

.Honor came up to me yesterday holding a wet diaper. At first I wondered how he got into the diaper pail but then he handed it to me and I realized it was warm. He managed to get his diaper off. I’m not sure how because he was fully clothed.
.Eden said to Jim the other day when he told her she couldn’t do something, “I’m so BAD at you.”
.When we were at Walmart the other night, Eden crawled in the bottom of the cart as the store employees looked down their noses at me and whispered about what a bad mom I am. Honor was sitting in the front where he played his favorite game: buckle the buckle and the yell, “bucko, bucko,” until I unhook it for him. Lather, rinse, repeat. Honor noticed that Eden wasn’t there as we started moving and he freaked out, “EDEEE, EDEEE!” He was so worried that I had left her behind. But as soon as I pointed out to him that she was coasting along in the bottom of the cart, her resumed his buckle game. “Bukco!!”
.Maybe it’s just a 3 year old thing, but Eden loves to give us the play by play on all her bodily activities. “Mom, I just tooted.” She’ll bypass the bathroom and come all the way outside to announce to us, “I have to go potty.” And just now she yelled at me from the bathroom, “MOM! I went pee and poop at the SAME TIME! It was SO funny.”

*My little sister returned from a 10 day vacation in Switzerland last week. She brought me some yummy chocolate and coffee and this Oh, so cool necklace.
*Eden and I made a trip to Old Navy this weekend. They finally had in the store this shirt that I’d been wanting ever since they emailed me about it. Shhh, don’t tell them their spam email is effective.
*We also went out to the yarn store, which we found out is moving SO much closer to me!! yay! I bought some blue cotton linen to knit a tank. The pattern is out of some random knitting mag I bought on clearance for .50 cents. And I bought sock yarn! Here’s my progress thus far. (it’s a stretchy cotton)
I’m surprised to say that the size 3 needles aren’t getting to me like I thought they would.
*After the trip to the yarn store, we went to the “ice cream store” where Eden had to have “Pink ice cream, not with a spoon and not with a straw.” She settled for a cherry dipped cone.
*We also went that night to see Madagascar while Honor and Jim went to a guys Playstation/Xbox night for the youth group. Eden really liked it, she sat on the edge of her seat the whole time and kept saying cute things very loudly like, “That ‘zwebra’ is SO funny.” I thought it was OK for a cartoon, I just really hate how they’re making the humor in children’s movies a bit too “adult.”
*Eden starts her teeny tiny ballet class tomorrow. She’s peeing her pants with excitement and I’m sure there will be more about it tomorrow.

*I am in love with this clutch. Isn’t it the coolest thing EVAR?? I don’t know why I’m even looking at clutches, since there’s no way I could carry one and hold the hands of two children. They’re cool though…
*And in honor of all things shrug, here is a PDF from interweave knits with several different shrug patterns.
PDF shrug patterns
I like the first one, it’s simple and has a cute 3/4 sleeve with a ruffled cuff.
Ahhh, I need to start knitting more. (She says as Jim scrambles to take away all methods in which to BUY MORE YARN. HA! Too late!)
*I recently discovered Blingo. It’s a new search engine, well not really new because they just use google results. But you can win all kinds of prizes just by searching. I have an online buddy who won a year of free blockbuster just the other day. I figure if I’m going to google anyway, I might as well win something. If you sign up under me, I win when you win. It’s kinda interesting…

*The kids are currently running through the house, Honor holding a cow flashlight and Eden has a big rubber alligator. Honor’s screaming, “AHHHH”. And Eden is behind him saying, “I’m going to det you mean cow!”

*Yesterday, I had been at the office for several hours before somebody pointed out to me that I had this stuck to my back.
At least it wasn’t toilet paper stuck to my shoe.
*And just because they’re so cute.
*The other day Jim was half spelling what he wanted to have for desert. “Do you want at P-O-P-cycle?” Eden said, “I want a Pee-cycle.”
*Oh and, check out my friend Sarah’s blog. sermon on the mount (of laundry)
