Wow, what a weekend. It was actually nice and really relaxing. It was probably the first year for the kids that it wasn’t totally overwhelming – which I think is so much better. I think they actually got to enjoy all their gifts.
Now that I’ve given all my knitted gifts, I can show them off.
This is the shawl I made for my mom. I need to take better pictures of it, but here she is trying it on for the first time. It’s made out of two yarns – a rayon boucle, and a mohair/silk blend.
and the fingerless mitts I made for my cousins.
This matches the scarf I made for her last year.
These are made out of Rowan Yorkshire Tweed.

Oh my gosh!!!! Your mom looks to young to be your mom!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Not that you look old – but she only looks about 35 at the MOST!!! So glad you had a great weekend. Love the homemade gifts. They are great. I made my hubby a scarf (crocheted)and my son’s each one. My 7 yr old wanted an “army” scarf – I found camo colored yarn. Now he wants a shirt made out of it!!! Boys!! ;-) Eden looks tickled with-Cinderella right? LOVE Batboy!! He is way to cute.

Yeah, it kinda freaked me out when i met your mom. She looks so young! See, my mom is in her late 50’s and while she doesn’t look like an old lady or anything, she looks nothing like yours!
Your gifts are awesome. As always, you do fine work!

there is no way that’s your mom. She looks like she could be my kid sister! Congrats on your genes!
the gifts were lovely, by the way.
