sewing and knitting and being a little sad
I just finished putting Honor’s brace on. He cried and cried the whole time, saying “I don’t want my brace.” It was sad. When we were all done I told him he was a big boy and he said, “I not big, I widdle.”
And onto more cheerful things…
I sewed this! With a lot of help from my mom, who designed the pattern.
And I finished this modified cabled purse. I’m looking for test knitters, so let me know if you’d like to knit this! Thanks, I’ve got lots of test knitters now!
I also finished a shawl for my grandma, but this was the best picture I could get of it. The photo really doesn’t do it justice. It’s Kidsilk Haze and a Japanese yarn.

I’m a very willing test knitter! That purse is gorgeous.
On another note: How are people doing with their Scarf Swap Spectacular squares? I’m almost done, trying to get finished before the yarnharlot.ca’s Knitting Olympics start.

Alas, I am not yet good enough on the needles to try that bag… it scares me just looking at it!

Hey woman, you KNOW you guys are doing the right thing for Honor and you know what? When he’s running the soccer ball (or whatever) to the goal in 5 or 8 years, he Will. Not. Remember. that you put that brace on him. He’ll just know that he always felt and feels your love.

I love the purses, what a talent, you do take after your mom! I just dont know when you find the time to do all that! I did knit once, a baby blanket for Isaac when I was pregnant with him….27 years ago, havnt tried since. Maybe I need to learn some day in my spare time, wait…I dont have spare time! anyway, great work Alli. have a great day.

Wow, those purses are gorgeous! Are you planning on selling the knitted purse pattern? It’s sooooo pretty. :) I love the sewn purse, too, it reminds me of Amy Butler. You and your mom are so talented!
