• The dog is about back to his usual self after his little surgery on Thursday. I think I’m going to have to go get one of those plastic collars from the vet, though, because he keeps licking his incision. dumb dog.
• I’m in the process of updating a few things on this site. I wish I had the time to give it a complete overhaul, but until then… You’ll notice I added my twitter feed, updated my links and I’m working on re-doing the knitting page.
• I started knitting Zephyr’s Tree Jacket. I think I’m going to really like it and wish I had it done today as it’s been pouring all day long. I chose magenta, do you think it’s my color? I’m trying to push myself out of my comfort zone.
• I’m trying to figure out what my summer “uniform” will be. I think the reason I hate summer the most is that I never feel cute in the summer time. What are you loving for summer clothing?

i love dresses for the summer. i’ve got a few indian wrap skirts that i use for dresses. they’re really versatile. and you’re a handy sewer right? you could make some!

You can sew a collar really quickly, you just need some stiff fabric or the like (or can use drinking straws or pipe cleaner quilted inside as boning) can do a drawstring–http://tinyurl.com/5peoza
Tahoe is a bugger for not leaving booboos alone and seemed to be much less “depressed” by the fabric ecollar than the horrible plastic one, don’t know why. Maybe a weight and rigidity issue.

Well honey, I’m always too busy sweating to worry about looking cute in summer clothes – not true (only the sweat). Thanks for reminding me that I have absolutely nothing new in my closet :) – my uniform will doubtless be a tank and , and, what kind of shorts are we supposed to wear this year?

I wish I could tell you something cute for summer, but for me, I’m still trying to find maternity clothes that are cute and don’t let my chest hang out.. what is it with maternity clothes and showing the girls? Plus, it’s practically impossible for me to find cute maternity jeans that fit or dresses that are a little longer. With Sophie being so young, short dresses are not good.

Long skirts or sundresses. You can dress it up or down, they are much cooler than shorts, and I don’t have to worry about my fat thighs, either!
